Laurence Equilbey conducts Scottish Chamber Orchestra with all-Mendelssohn programme

Conductor Laurence Equilbey will join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for two performances on 29 and 30 November, at the Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh and City Halls in Glasgow respectively. They will perform an all-Mendelssohn programme, featuring A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Incidental Music, and Die erste Walpurgisnacht, Op 61. Several world-class singers will join the orchestra: Rowan Pierce (soprano), Jessica Gillingwater (contralto), Hilary Summers (contralto), Martin Mitterutzner (tenor), Huw Montague Rendall (baritone) and the SCO Chorus with Gregory Batsleer as their chorus director.
