Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra perform at the Barbican
Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra pay tribute to the 19th century French composer Louise Farrenc in a series of concerts in Aix-en-Provence, Paris and London. Farrenc’s works, although sadly neglected today, were much acclaimed by her contemporaries. Her 3rd symphony is paired in the programme with Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C major, with soloists Alexandra Conunova, Natalie Clein and Elisabeth Brauss (David Kadouch in Aix and Paris). A Warner recording of the Triple Concerto, together with Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, will be released by Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra in the autumn.
The concerts take place on 13 February at the Grand Théâtre de Provence, 17 February at La Seine Musicale and 8 March at the Barbican. Further details can be found here.
