Laurence Equilbey and Insula orchestra open La Seine Musicale in Paris

Laurence Equilbey conducts Insula orchestra for the inaugural concert of La Seine Musicale in Paris, with a programme of works by Mozart, Beethoven, Weber and Berlioz. The opening of this vast and spectacular cultural centre on the Île Seguin this weekend marks a new and important chapter in the musical life of Paris. Laurence Equilbey has invited young, highly talented French artists to perform, underlining her aim to open the doors of La Seine Musicale to a new generation of concert-goers. Insula, the orchestra in residence, will perform in an 1,100 place auditorium, specially designed for classical performances.
