Kyung Wha Chung: The Legend Returns
Production of the international violin sensation’s landmark return to the European concert stage
When the legendary violinist Kyung Wha Chung decided to return to the concert platform following a significant career break, she selected London’s Royal Festival Hall as the stage for her highly anticipated comeback.
The Knight Classical team was entrusted with the production and delivery of this landmark event, working closely with Kyung Wha to shape a return that reflected both her stature and artistic legacy.
Production leadership
The project was privately funded, with Knight Classical responsible for constructing and overseeing the full project budget and for managing all aspects of production delivery.
Project coordination
We assembled and led the wider professional team, appointing and coordinating specialist partners and publicists. Acting as the central coordinating body, we ensured that all strands of the project operated within a unified framework.
Video production
In addition to the live event, our team produced a promotional film to support the concert’s public profile and visibility.
Impact
The concert played to a sold-out 3,000-seat auditorium and received outstanding critical acclaim, marking a major moment within the international classical music landscape and reaffirming Kyung Wha’s place as one of the defining violinists of her generation.
The success of this project subsequently led to an ongoing professional collaboration between Kyung Wha Chung and the Knight Classical team.
