This notice explains how Knight Classical Ltd uses and protects personal information. Knight Classical Ltd is the controller responsible for that information.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

your name, email address, telephone number and country;
your job title, organisation and other professional information;
information you provide when you contact us, subscribe to updates, become a client, work with us or attend an event;
correspondence, project records, contracts, invoices and payment information; and
technical information about how you use our website, where you have permitted optional analytics cookies.

We do not intentionally collect special category information for marketing purposes.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

carry out limited, targeted business-to-business outreach;

Our lawful bases

The lawful basis we rely on depends on why we are using the information:

Where the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent for an electronic marketing message, legitimate interests do not replace that requirement.

Targeted business-to-business outreach

We occasionally research and contact a small number of professional people whose roles and organisations appear relevant to Knight Classical’s specialist services. This is limited, individually reviewed outreach rather than mass marketing.

The information used for this purpose may include a person’s name, job title, organisation, published professional contact details and relevant information about their organisation’s work. We obtain it from credible public business sources, such as employer and organisation websites, Companies House, public professional directories, event or project announcements and professional profiles. We do not use guessed email addresses.

Our legitimate interest is to identify organisations that may reasonably benefit from our services and to develop relevant professional relationships. We limit the information collected, consider the relevance and timing of any approach, and do not use sensitive personal information for this purpose.

We primarily direct this outreach to professional contacts at corporate organisations. We assess the applicable rules before contacting sole traders, individual subscribers, partnerships or people outside the United Kingdom.

You have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time. You can object by replying to the message or by contacting us. We will stop using your information for direct marketing and may retain the minimum information needed on a suppression list so that we can respect your preference in future.

Newsletters and updates

If you subscribe to our newsletter or other updates, we may collect your name, email address and country. We use this information to send the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a message or by contacting us.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements.

Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer provide the service, with limited suppression information retained where needed to honour your preference.
Uncontacted business-outreach research is reviewed within 12 months and removed if there is no documented reason to retain it.
Inactive prospect correspondence and outcome records are reviewed within 24 months of the last meaningful interaction.
Client, contract, financial and project records are kept for the period needed to provide the service and meet applicable legal, tax and insurance requirements.
Website analytics information is retained according to our analytics configuration and is deleted or aggregated when it is no longer needed.

We may retain the minimum identifying information needed to record an objection or prevent unwanted future contact.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

ask for access to your personal information;
ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
ask us to erase your information;
ask us to restrict how we use your information;
