The Knight Classical team has a proven track record of success when it comes to creating and delivering ambitious creative projects, recordings, festivals, and live events. Our team’s multi-disciplinary expertise allows us to coordinate in-house the many various elements of a production – no matter the size and scale – and to tailor the process seamlessly in order to satisfy the particular needs and ambitions of both artist and patron alike.

Berlioz Requiem at
St. Paul’s Cathedral

In March 2019 we produced an unforgettable performance of the Grand Messe des Morts in the spectacular setting of St. Paul’s Cathedral. The project was conceived, developed and promoted by us to mark the 150th anniversary of Berlioz’ death, as part of our commitment to develop and deliver recorded performances of Berlioz works conducted by John Nelson. The concert was performed by The Philharmonia Orchestra, The Philharmonia Chorus, The London Philharmonic Choir and Michael Spyres and involved over 300 performers. The concert was recorded for CD and DVD release by Warner Classics and was live streamed by

Berlioz Grande Messe des morts (Requiem)

Released 2019 on Erato / Warner Classics

Marking the 150th anniversary of Berlioz’s death, this performance of the mighty ‘Requiem’ or ‘Grande Messe des Morts’ took place in St Paul’s Cathedral, London, in March 2019. Featuring the Philarmonia Orchestra, conducted by John Nelson, it involved over 300 musicians, including tenor Michael Spyres.

Marc Coppey: The Shostakovich Project

In December 2019, the Knight Classical team organised a performance of the Shostakovich Cello Concerti Nos. 1 and 2 by our artist Marc Coppey, in collaboration with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra with their Music Director, Lawrence Foster.  In addition to the performance, we also arranged for the audio recording of the concert for worldwide release through the Audite record label, and the live and deferred streaming of the concert by, creating a digital legacy of a commanding performance.

Berlioz Damnation of Faust

In 2019, we continued our long-term commitment to conceive, create and deliver recorded performances of Berlioz works for conductor John Nelson by arranging concert performances of “The Damnation of Faust” in collaboration with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg. Along with John Nelson, the performances featured Joyce DiDonato, Michael Spyres and Nicolas Courjal. We also arranged for the recording of the performances, and the CD and DVD was released on Warner Classics on 22 November 2019.

Berlioz The Trojans

In 2018, as part of our commitment to conceive, create and deliver recorded performances of Berlioz works for our conductor John Nelson, we mounted two concert performances of this magnificent opera, featuring Joyce DiDonato, Michael Spyres and Marie-Nicole Lemieux, in Strasbourg. The performances, which we produced in collaboration with Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, were recorded for release by Warner Classics. The recording was received with huge acclaim and was awarded 2018 Gramophone Recording of the Year.

Kyung Wha Chung: Bach in London & New York

To mark the release of Kyung Wha Chung’s recording of the complete Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin by J.S. Bach (Warner Classics), our team produced two complete evenings of this monumental repertoire: in London and New York. Both the Barbican Centre and Carnegie Hall held sold-out audiences enraptured by the violin legend’s three-hours of performance.

Kyung Wha Chung: The Legend Returns

When celebrated violin icon Kyung Wha Chung decided to return to the concert platform following a career break, she had her pick of world stages to host her comeback concert. She chose London’s Royal Festival Hall, and the team of Stephen Wright and Alexandra Knight to produce the event, which resulted in a sold-out 3,000-seater auditorium, and stunning reviews.
